Tiger Agriculture’s Final Heist: Scam Pushes Fake ‘COFCO Group’ Acquisition to Squeeze Last Deposits

Every scam, as part of its collapse, has a parting shot—the final heist before it inevitably disappears. That final heist is now playing out with Tiger Agriculture.

Right on cue, as detailed in our previous article, Tiger Agriculture’s Collapse Deepens: False Hope Lingers as App, Websites Remain Active, every scam’s collapse follows a predictable five-step process.

The penultimate step is “a final heist, involving requests for additional deposits.”

In our earlier article, we noted that this heist was underway, though in a passive form.

Tiger Agriculture kept its app and websites (tigeragriculture.world and tigeragriculture.com) operational despite withdrawal problems that began on 20 November 2024.

By maintaining this illusion of ongoing business, the scam continued receiving deposits, new sign-ups, and additional investments from existing participants in this unregistered scheme.

The scam has since issued a notice on its app and websites since, claiming it has been “acquired” by a so-called “COFCO Group.”

The notice, dated 23 November 2024, reads:

“Good news, Tiger Agriculture has been acquired by COFCO Group, and all members can now apply for withdrawals. At the request of COFCO Group, members of Tiger Agriculture need to purchase membership-level products to obtain withdrawal qualifications. Please inform all your team members that by purchasing membership products, you can quickly get income and withdrawals.”

It goes without saying: there is no acquisition, and “COFCO Group” does not exist—not as a registered entity with the CIPC nor as an authorised financial services provider with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).

We verified this to prevent desperate investors from chasing this wild goose, though it was hardly necessary.

This is clearly the final heist—a more creative tactic than usual, but the goal remains the same: spin a semi-believable story to trigger last-minute deposits before the scam vanishes completely.

To pressure investors further, Tiger Agriculture has made changes on its app:

  • Withdrawals previously marked as “Waiting” are now marked as “Rejected” or “Failed.”
  • Membership levels have been downgraded to “0.”

The only way for participants to “restore” their membership and unlock withdrawals is by purchasing new membership levels, which come at the following costs:

  • R1,000 for TA Level 1 Member.
  • R3,000 for TA Level 2 Member.
  • R6,000 for TA Level 3 Member.

The Final Stage

What comes next is the scam’s final stage: disappearance. Soon, Tiger Agriculture, along with its app and websites, will vanish without a trace.

As we previously noted, scams like Tiger Agriculture rarely leave a lasting void. A new scam will inevitably emerge to take its place.

After almost six months as one of South Africa’s more visible scams, Tiger Agriculture gained significant traction starting in August 2024.

In its wake, countless South Africans—so-called “investors” in this ill-fated pyramid scheme—will be left licking their wounds and picking up the pieces.

For many, this will serve as yet another painful lesson about the risks of placing trust and hope in schemes that promise prosperity but deliver only loss.

There’s a guy there he call himself Mozwandile Ntuli, Operations Manager there in the group chat, he always produce the same fake screen shots every day to attract unsuspecting investors, he lies for a living that guy. Last night he produced a screenshot of a fake conversation with some guy who’s supposed brother, a lawyer with almost 50 years of experience, checked the website and agreed with the model, and that the scheme is legit. Now, why a lawyer with 50 years of experience would want to invest in a pyramid scheme?

What raised my suspicion was a guy called Bhekizenzo Gumede also one of the managers, whom you were not to send him a whatsapp message in Isizulu and yet his name is a strong Zulu name. When you look at his fake photo you see a person from another country
Hay zidliwe izimali zabantu engathi bangatholwa and get punished
Their fake address is somewhere at Nqabeni which is in the South Coast Harding

  15. John Steenhuis says:

You all knowingly joined a scam, promoted the scam to others to boost your personal profits, and now that it’s collapsed and you’ve lost money, you cry foul ?

    1. Returns in a month of over 250% ?
2.What did you think you were buying ? Seeds ? What kind of seeds are those that can produce 250% profit in a month ?
    3. The website and the multiple sets of red flags ? Spelling errors constantly ? No working email ? No physical address ? Not one legitimate profile ?

Once again , ” the investors will soon become the victims”

    Lol gg
