ActionSA has announced that over 200 businesses have signed up to join it in its lawsuit against President Ramaphosa and the ANC, following the recent looting.
ActionSA, on Monday, 2 August 2021, announced that over 200 businesses have signed up for its groundbreaking lawsuit against cabinet and the African National Congress (ANC). Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement confirming that businesses have joined the party in its lawsuit against President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, members of the security cluster, and the ANC, following the looting and lawlessness in parts of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and Gauteng.
Mashaba stated that without a doubt, the loss of life and livelihoods need to be laid squarely at the ANC’s feet, and that now more than ever, ActionSA is determined to ensure South Africans receive justice and those responsible for the destruction are held to account. The party further stated that the president, Cele, and the rest of the executives had failed to uphold their duty of protecting and upholding the rule of law through their inaction and incompetence.
The party called on all those affected by the looting and violence to join in the lawsuit, and has assured that ActionSA stands ready to provide an alternative to the broken political system that is failing South Africa.
