Vuyolwethu Zungula has continued to advocate for the prioritisation of South Africans in the country, particularly as it relates to jobs and economic activity.
Leader of the African Transformation Movement (ATM), Vuyolwethu Zungula took to Twitter on Tuesday, 4 May 2021, to continue advocating for one of key tenets of his political party – the prioritisation of South Africans in the local employment market. This time, Zungula suggested that the consequences of not addressing and rectifying the matter could be deadly.
He tweeted, “A brother applied more than 500 times in SA for a teaching post, which [is] normally dominated by non-South Africans. He later found a teaching job in China, where he was killed and we will never get any justice for his murder. Prioritizing South Africans for jobs in SA is personal to me.”
The ATM has expressed that prioritising local citizens would be one of its key focuses upon being voted into power. Moreover, Zungula and the party have affirmed that the prioritisation would extend to other aspects as well, such as economic activity and residential spaces.
