Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is calling for the arrest of F.W De Klerk, claiming that it would be for the atrocities that were propagated by the ruling party under the apartheid regime.
Daughter of former president, Jacob Zuma, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla took to Twitter on Tuesday, 6 April 2021, to call for the arrest of the last sitting president under the apartheid regime, F.W De Klerk. Her stance comes as the country celebrated the life of struggle stalwart, Solomon Mahlangu, on the day.
Zuma-Sambudla suggested that leaders of the National Party (NP) did not face consequences for the atrocities they perpetuated under the apartheid regime. Therefore, she claimed that they should now face the might of the law. However, the post was not read in isolation.
The post comes as Zuma-Sambudla’s father is currently facing mounting pressure to face a two-year prison sentence for his no-show at the State Capture Commission. Zuma has suggested that he is willing to face the consequences should the worst happen. However, the arrest would be conducted on the back of the former president having suggested that there is a constitutional crisis, as he called for a government-run judicial system instead of a constitutional one.
