The State Capture Commission has confirmed that today’s proceedings are set to commence with Edwin Sodi, before Mosebenzi Zwane’s return to the stand.
The State Capture Commission took to Twitter on Monday, 28 September 2020, to announce the scheduled proceedings for Tuesday, 29 September 2020. First to take the stand will be Director of BlackHead Consulting, Edwin Sodi. The consulting agency was implicated by Free State officials who previously appeared before the Zondo Commission, claiming to have received payments from the agency to comply with awarding them a tender.
Sodi is set to continue answering questions on the Free State Asbestos Housing Project when he takes the stand at 11:30. Following his time on the stand, Mosebenzi Zwane will resume answering questions on the R1 billion Free State Housing Project.
Zwane left many questions unanswered after his first appearance on Friday, 25 September 2020. He admitted that he was unaware that processes were supposed to be governed by the Housing Act in awarding tenders.
