Zola Tsotsi returns to the Zondo Commission stand

Published on

Zola Tsotsi returned to the Zondo State Capture Commission stand to continue answering questions on Eskom and his alleged involvement in its questionable operations.

The Zondo State Capture Commission has made the proceedings from Friday, 9 October 2020, available for public consumption through the commission’s YouTube channel. Scheduled to take the stand were; former Eskom Board Chairperson, Zola Tsotsi, and former Acting Director-General for the Department of Public Enterprise, Matsietsi Mokholo.

Mokholo, however, did not appear as scheduled after the hearing on Jacob Zuma’s summons. Tsotsi however, returned to answer more Eskom-related questions. Following his initial appearance, the commission is believed to be in possession of affidavits relating to the matter.

Tsotsi appears to have been relatively reclusive in his latest testimony, such as in when he was asked about a particular meeting that he was part of, which was reportedly at Melrose Arch. Despite there being two witnesses whopreviously attested to his presence, when asked about it, Tsotsi initially claimed to be unaware of such a meeting, until he remembered when it was brought to his attention by the presiding advocate.
