Garret Yrigoyan released an apology on Instagram after it was found that he liked several posts that were deemed offensive.
Garret Yrigoyan from The Bachelorette has apologised for liking what many have deemed offensive posts on Instagram. Some of these Instagram posts that Yrigoyan liked were allegedly homophobic and transphobic in nature, including posts that made jokes concerning Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, Parkland shooting survivors and boys who put on makeup.
In an interview with People, which followed his initial apology on Instagram and resolution to get rid of said account, Yrigoyan said, “I am trying to grow and be better continuously.”
Concerning his relationship with Bachelorette Becca Kufrin he commented that, “We addressed it. We talked about it and we’re moving forward to try to become a stronger couple.”
Becca Kufrin added, “ [Garret] is a good guy and we’ve all made mistakes and we all have done things that aren’t perfect and that offend others at times but all I could ask for is somebody who owns up to what they’ve done and who apologises and wants to grow and move forward.”
Garret Yrigoyan and Becca Kufrin got engaged during the finale on the most recent season of The Bachelorette.
