Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured seven, before turning a gun on himself on 23 May 2014, in Isla Vista, California.

Elliot Rodger’s spree of murders on 23 May 2014 at the University of California, Santa Barbara remain hotly debated.

Many have argued that Rodger’s was a misogynist fuelled to kill by his hatred of women and of the men they chose to sleep with instead of Rodger’s himself. Others have leaned towards understanding his actions as a result of a psychological break with reality.
