Vodacom has been facing a myriad of issues for the past two days now, with nearly 300 reports coming through in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday morning, 30 July 2018, Down Detector reported that there were possible problems with the Vodacom network. This was following more than 50 reports in the preceding 24 hours. Today, 31 July 2018, Vodacom seems to be facing a similar issue, racking up nearly 300 reports in the last 24 hours. The worst of it occurred last night between 17:00 and 20:00. The reports mainly stem from Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Groblersdal, Potchefstroom, Centurion, Port Elizabeth, Vanderbijlpark and Kempton Park. The main issues are concerning mobile phones, total blackouts as well as mobile internet.
The only recent written complaint on the Down Detector site was @Myth_Mouth who wrote, “@vodacom I’m having network problems… I’m not the only one…please help.” Despite these issues, Vodacom is very responsive on Twitter and seems to be working through countless issues with their customers.
