One of South Africa’s leading cellular and network providers, Vodacom, continues to have selected stores open during the lockdown, with only operational hours being affected by the lockdown.
Vodacom being one of the major network providers locally had selected stores open during the entire duration of the national lockdown. But following the introduction of level four restrictions which started on Friday, 1 May 2020, Vodacom took to social media to share how they plan to continue putting the safety of their customers first during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Their first measure includes partnering with the Discovery Group in offering customers suspecting they have contracted the coronavirus, free virtual consultations with doctors affiliated with the Discovery Group. Secondly, Vodacom says it has equipped its delivery staff with sanitary wipes, for customers to sanitise delivery items. Lastly, to ensure that children can still continue learning as schools remain closed, Vodacom has created an e-learning platform which can be used from a cell phone, laptop or desktop computer.
