A few vehicles are alight on the M57 highway as a result of a violent protest.
The Gauteng police spokesperson, Colonel Lungelo Dlamini says protestors have blocked off a section of the road near the L and J informal settlement.
Parts of the M57 highway, opposite the R21 in Centurion, have been closed off following violent protests on Thursday morning.
Reportedly, a truck and a bus were set on fire, and not one has been reported injured in the process.
Dlamini reports that police are on the scene and no arrests have been made. He urges motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
More on the story as it develops.
