Last night’s, 19 April 2018 episode of Ultimate House Party shocked audiences as two contestants were given the boot by the panel of judges.
Here is how the episode played out:
The host of the show known as ‘Dash’ (real name Zulu Mkhatini) spun the wheel of fortune to determine who the party hosts for the week would be.
Contestants Melita and Lethabo were the lucky two. Teams were picked by the host’s and the party planning began.
As usual, there were some mishaps along the way to planning the ultimate house party. Issues with organising venues, guests of honour not arriving, and a lack of music were all part of the contestant’s struggles.
In the end Lethabo emerged the victor for this round. Her party was a success because she stuck to the basics and everyone had a good time. However, her team did have to reign in the guests as police threatened to arrest the partygoers if they did not quieten down.
Melita and her team were sent to elimination. The judges then revealed that three people would be up for elimination and two would be sent packing.
Each contestant gave their testimony as to why they should stay in the competition, making the decision even harder for the judges. Ultimately as the host, Melita was deemed responsible for the failure of her party and was sent home. Charlene was also eliminated.

Viewer’s took to social media to share their thoughts over the episode. Many felt that Melita had been eliminated unfairly.

Despite the double elimination many viewers were more focused on another character from the show. Don Dada seems to have captivated audiences as many are waiting in anticipation for him to host his party. With each episode that airs, many fans respond with disappointment that he has not yet been chosen.
