UDEMWO has paid tribute to the late NFP founding leader, kaMagwaza-Msibi, and has affirmed its commitment to taking the baton and championing efficient female leadership.
The United Democratic Movement Women’s Organisation (UDEMWO) published a statement on Tuesday, 7 September 2021, conveying its deepest condolences to the loved ones of the late National Freedom Party (NFP) founding leader, Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi. UDEMWO noted that South Africa has lost one of its inspirational leaders, who is said to have walked where many would not have dared during a time when it was not appealing to see a woman in a high leadership position. The organisation further described kaMagwaza-Msibi as a strong and fierce woman.
UDEMWO also expressed that the late NFP leader left her footprint on women’s leadership by founding her own political party. Moreover, she would be remembered as a powerhouse and fearless lioness for her extraordinary ways. In closing, UDEMWO committed to taking the baton and leading from the front in the same way that kaMagwaza-Misbi did.
