The Bachelor SA’s Jason Greer rallies South Africans to feed a family during lockdown

Host of The Bachelor SA, Jason Greer, is working together with a group of friends to encourage fellow South Africans to donate and help supply the underprivileged with Nutriwell Nutritional Packs.

The media personality is appealing for the public to offer donations to the Back A Buddy fundraiser, which aims to raise a minimum of R200 000 during the COVID-19-induced lockdown. Currently sitting at just over R130 000, the fundraiser is in collaboration with Nutriwell, and is aimed at providing Nutritional Packs to families without food during the countrywide lockdown, which is scheduled to end on 30 April 2020. The packs include 1kg Instant Porridge, 1kg Instant Shake, 1kg Thick Vegetable Soup and 1kg Soya Mince Stew. Each pack is valued at R251 and is enough to feed one adult or two children for an entire month.

Speaking to Political Analysis South Africa, Greer explained that, “Along with a good friend, Shelley Finch and some other friends in Cape Town, we have started a campaign which [allows us to] feed close to a thousand people in the very near future. We are appealing to the whole of South Africa, and the world, to help us feed those who cannot get access to not only food, but the right food.”

Donations to the Feed A Family During Lockdown fundraiser can be made on the official Back A Buddy website.
