AKA’s Beam World App in partnership with Vodacom launched on Tuesday, 2 October 2018.
Rapper AKA announced on 1 September 2018, that he had entered into a new business venture in partnership with South African mobile service provider Vodacom.
In a tweet, he revealed that he would be soon launching an app called AKA Beam World, which will allow users to view behind-the-scenes footage of his ‘life, career and family moments’.
On Tuesday, 2 October, the app was officially launched. AKA shared his excitement at the new venture over social media, writing, “Today is the Day…The Official Launch of my very own app with Vodacom.”
The AKA Beam World app offers fans the opportunity to ‘be part of the BEAM crew through daily intimate stories, exclusive videos and live performances.’ Users will also be able to view concert footage, listen to AKA’s albums and ask the rapper questions about himself.
AKA has inspired many with his business achievements in recent years. In 2017, he began the now tentative media company Beam Group with Prince Costinyo and has secured major endorsement deals with brand such as Cruz Vodka.
