Tambo lambastes ANC for failing to urge people onto liberation movement and national reconstruction

Published on

The EFF’s Sinawo Tambo has expressed his views on the failure of the ANC to urge people onto a path of national reconstruction as a leading liberation movement.

On Monday, 18 October 2021, Sinawo Tambo of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) responded to a news article stating that the African National Congress (ANC) Parliamentary Chief Whip, Pemmy Majodina has expressed confidence that South Africans will support the liberation movement of the party, having transformed the country from the ruins of colonial apartheid. Tambo responded to this by stating that the leader pacified the people and, for years on end after independence had been won, he has been unable to urge the people to a concrete task.

Moreover, unable to really open up the future to them or pushing them to a path of national reconstruction. He went on further to say that the leader could be seen reassessing the history of independence and recalling the sacred unity of the struggle for liberation, as he had refused to break up the national bourgeoisie that is putting people to sleep.
