Report: One third of Somalia’s population still requires humanitarian assistance
A third of Somali’s population, comprising of more than 4.2 million people will require humanitarian assistance and protection in 2019, aid agencies have disclosed in their latest assessment.
The number is a reduction in the number of people in need by 34 per cent, from 6.2 million people, in 2018, due to an improved humanitarian context and a more focused definition of humanitarian needs, while still including 60 per cent of all people at stressed level known as Integrated Food Security Phase
