SARS collects R1.28 trillion in 2018/19 financial year, misses R1.3 trillion target
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has collected R1.28 trillion in the 2018/19 financial year, missing its estimated target of R1.3 trillion.
On Monday afternoon, 1 April 2019, acting SARS commissioner Mark Kingon presented the results in Pretoria, announcing that the revenue service collected R1.28 trillion in the financial year that ended on Sunday, 31 March 2019, missing its R1.3 trillion target by about R14.6 billion.
