Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, is expected in N'Djamena, Chad, on Sunday, 20 January 2019, at the invitation President Idriss Déby, sources close to the Chadian presidency have said on Thursday, 17 January 2019.
Netanyahu is travelling to Chad after President Déby’s visit to Tel Aviv on Sunday, 25 November 2018. On that occasion, the latter expressed his wish to see relations with Israel restored.
The two countries broke off diplomatic ties in the 1970s.
