The DA has confirmed the physical presence of its Federal Leader, John Steenhuisen at the State Capture Commission, in light of Cyril Ramaphosa’s two-day testimony.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) took to Twitter on Wednesday, 28 April 2021, to confirm that its Federal Leader, John Steenhuisen would be at the State Capture Commission. Steenhuisen’s physical presence is motivated by the fact that President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to give his two-day testimony in his capacity as the first citizen and leader of the African National Congress (ANC).
In explaining the presence of Steenhuisen at the commission, the DA noted that Steenhuisen is looking to determine where Ramaphosa’s loyalty lies; with the people of the country or the ANC. Steenhuisen has yet to share his views on the first day of Ramaphosa’s appearance, which is still ongoing.
Based on the sentiments that Ramaphosa has already shared on corruption and cadre deployment, Steenhuisen and the DA are not likely to see merit in Ramaphosa’s testimony.
See the post below.
Will President Ramaphosa yet again choose ANC unity over justice for South Africa?
The DA Leader @jsteenhuisen is at the State Capture Commission today to witness it all.
