Steenhuisen concerned over exam disruptions during EFF’s Brackenfell protest
John Steenhuisen has issued a statement ahead of the EFF’s protest action at Brackenfell High School, suggesting that the party has targeted the high school as the beginning of a trend.
The Democratic Alliance’s (DA) Federal Leader, John Steenhuisen issued a statement on Thursday, 19 November 2020, on the protest action scheduled by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). The EFF has organised protest action against the community of Brackenfell, which is set to start at 10:00 at Brackenfell High School on Friday, 20 November 2020.
The statement seeks to raise concern over the disruption that the strike action will cause for learners writing their exams, whilst cautiously highlighting the DA’s concerns about protest action led by the EFF. Recently, the DA sparked conversation for drawing parallels between the EFF and the Nazis. Since then, it appears to be more conscious in its wording and description of the party.
According to the DA, “There are indications that targeting schools for protest action will become an escalating EFF trend.”
See the post below.
It has become evident that the EFF sees ongoing racial conflict – and possibly even a full-blown race war – as beneficial to their own narrow cause.
It is crucial that people do not rise to the EFF’s bait. One hand cannot clap alone.#BrackenfellHighhttps://t.co/vOlZIo5mtR
