The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of veld fires in the Western Cape today, 7 May 2018.
The warning indicates severe weather conditions across the province. The details of the warning are as follows:
Strong to gale force interior winds (45-70km/h) are expected over the Breede River Valley, Central and Little Karoo today (Monday), excluding the Litlle Karoo tomorrow (Tuesday).
Localised flooding is expected in places over the Cape Metropole tonight (Monday) into Tuesday.
