Sho Madjozi gears up for Afropunk in New York

Sho Madjozi is on her way back to South Africa

Sho Madjozi has partnered with Havaianas SA for her trip to the Afropunk Festival in New York.

Musician, Sho Madjozi will be performing at the Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York in one weeks’ time. She has partnered with the Havaianas South Africa brand to sponsor her trip to New York. Madjozi took to social media on Friday to thank the brand for their support.

Madjozi posted a video to Instagram detailing her partnership with Havaianas SA. She wrote, “Follow my trip to New York with @havaianas_southafrica 🙌🏾🙏🏾🏆💜💝✨ we have one week till Afropunk 😰😱.” She then tweeted a thank you to the brand, saying, “For unsigned artists it means everything for brands to support us in REAL ways that actually take our careers further 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 shout out to you @SA_Havaianas_SA Let’s take over New York!!”


Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn, New York will go down on 25 and 26 August. The Afropunk brand celebrates African heritage and is “a safe place, a blank space to freak out in, to construct a new reality, to live your life as you see fit, while making sense of the world around you.” Afropunk Johannesburg 2018 will happen on 30 December to 1 January at Constitution Hill.
