Floyd Shivambu took to Twitter to address the suggestive comment by Tito Mboweni, who appeared to criticise the boisterous and confrontational conduct of the EFF in Parliament.
African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament (MP), Tito Mboweni took to Twitter on Thursday, 6 May 2021, to express his stance on the use of disruption as a means of subversion in Parliament. His comment, although not explicitly directed at any political figure or party, was immediately associated with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
Mboweni stated, “To be disruptive, disorderly, disrespectful, uncouth, ungovernable and noisy in the National Assembly is not revolutionary. It is left-wing childishness! Actually, right-wing behaviour and anti-democracy!”
Deputy President of the EFF, Floyd Shivambu did not hold back from addressing Mboweni. He alleged that Mboweni has a known drinking problem, as he supposedly attends a majority of his ministerial meetings under the influence. Moreover, he claimed that Mboweni has failed in his role as the Minister of Finance, particularly given the current state of the country’s economy.
See the post below.
To dismally fail to manage South Africa’s economy and to attend 90% of National Treasury meetings under the influence of alcohol. Failure to implement resolutions on State Bank and SARB is counter revolutionary and reactionary. Drunkards must focus on alcohol and Magoebaskloof. https://t.co/VdJCXDzTWi
