SASSA confirmed that pending R370 SRD payments for June 2024 will be actioned next week.
On Friday, 21 June 2024, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), which is the social grants payment arm of the South African Department of Social Development, issued a notice confirming that Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) R370 grant payments for June 2024 will be actioned in the last week of June 2024.
In the notice, SASSA noted that payments under the R370 SRD for beneficiaries who are approved for the month of June 2024 would be processed from 24 to 29 June 2024.
The entity also encouraged recipients “to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will reflect into their bank accounts.”
The R370 SRD payments for June 2024, follow other SASSA payments earlier this month, including the Older Person’s Grants payment on 4 June 2024, the Disability Grants payment on 5 June 2024, and the Children’s Grants payment on 6 June 2024.
