Red Bull Music Festival 2018 to be held this April

For six days, the City of Johannesburg will be hosting this year’s Red Bull Music Festival.

This year’s Red Bull Music Festival will rock the City of Johannesburg for six whole days. From 3 to 8 April, 2018, Soweto, Newtown and Braamfontein will witness the performance of 80 artists.

The first day of the festival will kick off on Tuesday, 3 April, at the 73 Juta Street, where from 6 pm to 2 am will perform artists such as Langa Mavuso, Zoë Modiga, Kenzhero and Leeu.

The organizers brought popular artists for the following days of the festival as well, such as DJ Okapi, Zara Julius, Moozlie, Audioboyz, DJ Tira, Tlale Makhene, Keorapetse Kolwane, Kid X, Clem Carr, DJ Bubbles, Janus van der Merwe, Keenan Ahrends, Marcus Wyatt, QB Smith, Sisonke Xonti, Zolabuddè.

The closing of the festival will see performances from Distruction Boyz, Moonchild Sanelly, AKA, Da Capo, Sho Madjozi, Jullian Gomes, Sjava, Rudeboyz.

This year’s festival will feature a special guest – the first performance in South Africa from international superstar SKEPTA – an English grime artist, rapper, songwriter, record producer and music video director. He will be performing on Saturday, 7 April.

Ticket fees range from R100 to R1500, depending on which day you want to attend the concert, and whether you want VIP locations. Also, you can have a full-week pass (from 3 to 8 April) for R700. Tickets can be purchased here.
