PSL weekend fixtures and TV guide: Chiefs playing at home and Pirates away

Published on

The Absa Premiership continues this weekend after several fixtures were played out midweek. Political Analysis South Africa brings you the fixtures and TV guide for this weekend’s action.

A sum of seven games will be played between Friday, 21 September and Sunday, 23 September, involving 14 teams across six cities.

Several teams will be looking to make amends after dropping crucial points, including Orlando Pirates; while the likes of Kaizer Chiefs will be in search of two wins in two, after collecting maximum points in midweek.

Leaders Bidvest Wits has a chance to set the tone and apply pressure on its chasers when it kicks off the weekend on Friday evening against Polokwane City.

Pirates will look to bounce back from last Wednesday’s, 19 September, disappointing draw against Cape Town City when it visits Baroka FC up in Polokwane. This season’s dark horses SuperSport United has a chance to put pressure on the top teams when it hosts Black Leopards in Pretoria.

One of the most intriguing fixtures of the weekend sees top-placed Bloemfontein Celtic taking on strugglers Maritzburg United which is rooted at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table.
