PSL fixtures for tonight, 3 October 2018: Pirates and Sundowns in action

Published on

Absa Premiership fixtures for 3 October 2018 including Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows.

More Absa Premiership points and log positions are there for the taking as eight teams will battle it out towards being crowned South Africa’s best club in May 2019.

Defending champions Sundowns has quietly gone about work behind the scenes in the past week.

After the MTN8 disappointment and two grueling games in Durban against AmaZulu (3-3) and Golden Arrows (1-0 win), little to no news came out of the Sundowns camp this week, except the occasional photo tweets of hard work at training.

Orlando Pirates goes into tonight’s game against Golden Arrows after getting dethroned by Bidvest Wits from the top spot. Kaizer Chiefs’ point against Highlands also puts Amakhosi ahead of Pirates, who fell to third.

It is now up to the Buccaneers at home to defeat Abafana Bes’thende, to reclaim the summit position with three points.

Another fascinating fixture tonight is the Limpopo derby between Black Leopards and Baroka at the Thohoyandou Stadium. A win for either team will be a big jump out of the bottom four of the league table.

Here are all the fixtures for tonight, 3 October 2018:

Black Leopards v Baroka FC, Thohoyandou Stadium.

Orlando Pirates v Golden Arrows, Orlando Stadium.

Chippa United v Free State Stars, Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Bloemfontein Celtic v Mamelodi Sundowns, Dr Molemela Stadium.

All games will begin at 19h30.
