According to the notice, there will be “veld fire conditions” in various areas of these two provinces, between 7 am and 20:00 on Wednesday, 21 February. The affected areas in the Northern Cape are Twee Rivieren, Upington, Groblershoop, Augrabies Falls, Pofadder and Garies. While in the Western Cape, the veld fire conditions will be experienced in Redelingshuys and Vredendal.
Those with plans to be in the aforementioned in the two provinces, esepecially those in farming communities must take appropriate measures and alert local fire authorities.
