Pearl Thusi nominated for Best International Actress Award at IARAs

Pearl Thusi took to Twitter to announce her nomination for Best International Actress at the IARA Awards for her role in Quantico

Yesterday, 11 July 2018, actress Pearl Thusi took to Twitter to announce that she has been nominated for the Best Actress and Best International Actress Award at the upcoming International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARAs). Thusi has been nominated for her role in hit drama series, Quantico. Shortly after the nomination was announced, fans of the actress tweeted their well wishes and congratulations. Thusi responded by retweeting these posts.

Following the announcement, Thusi tweeted that she will be taking a break from social media. She wrote, “Hi guys… taking a social media hiatus. Will DM stuff to fan clubs to post if you wanna see what I’m up to… till further notice or fir work… ❤️🙏🏽😘.”

Thusi played Dayana Mampasi, a Harvard lawyer who is training to become a CSI secret agent in the second season of Quantico. Her competitors for the Best Actress Award are, Laura Donnelly (Ferryman), Joselyn Dumas (Potato Potahto), Jenna Coleman (Victoria), Tupelo Dorgu (Bread & Roses), Hayley Tamaddon (Eaten by Lions), Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth) and Gemma Chan (Transformer: The Last Knight). Joselyn Dumas is also included in the Best International Actress category alongside Thusi. The IARA Awards will take place in London, England on 22 September 2018. Voting will be open until 10 August 2018.
