Nxesi rubbishes report of R86 million corruption

Published on

Minister Thulas Nxesi has publicly refuted the claims made in a news article that is being circulated, which alleges that he admitted to irregularly taking R86 million.

Minister of Employment and Labour, Thulas Nxesi took to Twitter on Wednesday, 26 May 2021, to refute claims of admitting to corruptly taking R86 million. Nxesi has dismissed the report as fake news. This comes amid the National Department of Health’s (NDoH) confirmation that an investigation into the awarding of an irregular tender to Digital Vibes is underway.

Nxesi has dismissed the article as fake news and has denied taking R86 million. His denial of the contents of the news article was brief, as he did not attempt to assert his innocence through the provision of a supporting statement on the possible consequences that may be faced by the publication.
