NSFAS has stipulated the requirements for qualifying students who are funded by it and are looking to order a laptop.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) took to Twitter on Tuesday, 25 May 2021, to stipulate the requirements for those looking to order a laptop. Following the first wave of the pandemic and the restrictions imposed, the scheme realised the importance of sponsoring students with laptops to ensure online learning. It was noted that some students could not study or learn as they did not have access to a laptop.
Therefore, NSFAS confirmed that it would make provision for students that could not afford to purchase a laptop and did not have one. NSFAS confirmed that it would provide the students with funds to purchase laptops. According to the shared post, applicants need to have a South African identity book, student number and contact details, the name of their institution of learning, and the campus and its address.
See the post below.
