Reports claim that D’banj’s thirteen-month-old baby accidentally drowned and died yesterday, 24 June 2018
Nigerian music star, D’banj and his wife Lineo Didi Kilgrow are in mourning for their thirteen-month-old son, Daniel Oyebanjo III, who died yesterday, 24 June 2018. The baby is reported to have died after an apparent accidental drowning in the home swimming pool. D’banj and Lineo wed in 2016 and welcomed Daniel soon after. The couple celebrated his first birthday this May.
D’banj is currently in Los Angeles for the BET awards ceremony. He posted a black photo on his Instagram page with the heart-breaking caption, “Trying Times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
News of the baby’s passing left many shocked and aggrieved. Celebrities and fans alike have shared their condolences with D’banj and Lineo. Fellow Nigerian singer, Davido wished D’banj his sincere condolences during his acceptance speech for Best International Artist at the BET awards ceremony last night.
