Niehaus affirms support for Zuma despite alleged intimidation

Carl Niehaus has showcased that he is at the Pietermaritzburg High Court to support former president, Jacob Zuma, despite the alleged intimidation he faced for his continuous support for him.

Spokesperson for the uMkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Associations (MKMVA), Carl Niehaus took to Twitter on Wednesday, 26 May 2021, to showcase that he is at the second court appearance of former president, Jacob Zuma. The former president is appearing in front of the Pietermaritzburg High Court on multiple charges.

In images shared by Niehaus, he revealed that suspended African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General, Ace Magashule and Zumaโ€™s son, Duduzane also attended the court proceedings. Moreover, in subsequent posts, Niehaus wrote about the alleged intimidation he has been facing for his unwavering support for Zuma.

He stated, โ€œThe day has arrived, and I am here in Pietermaritzburg, getting ready to go to the High Court to support Zuma. To those who tried to intimidate me, and did not want me to come, I say: I am here, as I have been at every court appearance for over 20 years.โ€

Niehaus also showcased the scores of people who gathered to hear Zuma deliver a speech after his court appearance.
