NFVF to embark on roadshow for PESP applications

The NFVF is set to embark on a roadshow to assist filmmakers with the process of applying for the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme.

Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa took to Twitter to announce that the National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa (NFVF) is set to embark on nationwide activations this coming weekend. The activations are in support of the creative aspect of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP).

The PESP is spearhead by the country’s first citizen, in an effort to address the matter of the high unemployment rate, especially amongst the youth. Therefore, the PESP has tasked different departments with launching programmes that will train interested parties and provide them with specialised skills, while providing work experience for said participants.

The roadshow is scheduled to take place between Friday, 4 December 2020, and Monday, 7 December 2020. Interested members of the public are advised to visit the website to get more information and details on the initiative. Moreover, besides the stipulated dates, the infographic suggests that there will be other activations soon.
