NFP confirms passing of party leader, Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi

The NFP has issued a statement confirming the passing of its leader, kaMagwaza-Msibi, who has been described as a fierce leader who was committed to improving lives.

The National Freedom Party (NFP) parliamentary caucus leader, Munzoor Shaik Emam issued a statement on behalf of the party on Monday, 6 September 2021, on the passing of its leader, Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi. The party announced that kaMagwaza-Msibi died in the early hours of the morning.

kaMagwaza-Msibi was described as passionate about serving the interest of the most vulnerable and the poorest of the country. Moreover, she was quoted as having said, “I want my people to live with dignity.” She was also described as a fierce leader who was grounded in conviction to make a difference in people’s lives.

The NFP conveyed that she had suffered a stroke on 16 November 2014, which had a devastating effect on her life and career, but that she had continued to serve selflessly. kaMagwaza-Msibi’s death has been noted as a great loss for the NFP and the county’s entire political landscape.
