Ndlozi comes to Mkhwebane’s defence against “hired gun” label

Published on

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has come to the defence of Busisiwe Mkhwebane against the suggestion that she is an agent being used to fulfil the intentions of the RET faction, as suggested by Fikile Mbalula.

The Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) Commissar, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi took to Twitter on Sunday, 7 March 2021, to come to the defence of Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane. Ndlozi’s comment comes on the back of Mkhwebane being a topic of controversy in the continued factional fights of the ruling party.

It was previously believed that a motion of no confidence in Mkhwebane was put forward by the Democratic Alliance (DA). The motion was speculated to be endorsed by the ruling party, however, Ace Magashule refuted the claims.

Mbalula then suggested that Mkhwebane is a tool being used to fulfil political agendas. Ndlozi, in rebutting Mbalula’s suggestion, reiterated the running narrative of Mbalula being inconsistent in his views. Moreover, he claimed that his inconsistency suggests that he is the “hired gun,” as Mkhwebane, despite her difficulties, has been resolute in her stance.
