National Treasury has launched a call for comments on the candidates shortlisted for the position of FSCA Commissioner, after shortlisting two suitable candidates.
National Treasury took to Twitter on Tuesday, 19 January 2021, to call for comments on the shortlisted candidates for the position of Commissioner of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). The governmental branch has shortlisted two candidates, Astid Ludin and Unathi Kamlana.
According to the statement, “Interviews were conducted on Saturday, 21 November 2020, on the MS Teams virtual platform. Ms Ludin and Mr Kamlana emerged as the best candidates from the interview process. The Shortlisting Panel also subjected Ms Ludin and Mr Kamlana to competency assessments and enhanced reference checks. Both the competency assessments and the enhanced reference checks indicated that both candidates are suitable for appointment.”
The statement further explained that after the closing date for comments, National Treasury will submit both names for consideration to the cabinet. The deadline for comments is 15:00 on Tuesday, 26 January 2021.
