Rapper Nasty C is taking his Ivyson Tour to schools across the country.
At only 21 years of age, Nasty C is undoubtedly one of the youngest successful rap artists in the country. He has managed to do what usually takes artists many years of hard work; selling out tour dates, touring internationally and owning his own record label.
He is most certainly an artist representative of the youth, especially evidenced by his ever-keen sense of contemporary fashion. It comes as no surprise then that he is taking his Ivyson Tour to schools countrywide.
On Wednesday, 5 September 2018 he posted a video to Instagram, showing himself and his first signed artist, Rowlene performing to a crowded school hall filled with ecstatic teenage fans. He captioned the video, “WHERE YOUR SCHOOL AT? IM COMING! ACTIVATE #IvysonTour #StringsAndBling #TEvOR @tallracksrec @rowlene_sa.”
The video has been viewed 60,813 times, as the rapper received scores of suggestions of which schools to visit next.
On 20 August 2018, Nasty C announced that he is a ‘proud record label owner’. His label is called Tall Racks Records and boasts singer Rowlene as its first signed artist. On Wednesday, Rowlene released a snippet of her single ‘Boy Bye’, which is to be featured on her upcoming EP. Nasty C wrote of her work, “OKAY ROW!!! 😯😱 @rowlene_sa #BoyBye #TheEvolutionOfRobot EP SOUNDING F**KING INSANE!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! 📶💰🔥🚀🚀.”
