Nasty C and DJ Speedsta beef over ownership of Bamm Bamm

Hip-hop artist, Nasty C, has addressed popular hip-hop deejay, DJ Speedsta’s allegations that he allegedly took his song, Bamm Bamm, and claimed it was his, which Nasty C denied.

On Thursday, 9 April 2020, Nasty C took to Twitter to address DJ Speedsta for his account of how he came to own his single, Bamm Bamm. DJ Speedsta detailed the story during his popular hip-hop-focused podcast series, Popcast, with DJ Vigilante, Scoop Makhathini and Ms Cosmo. In the clip that Nasty C shared, DJ Speedsta claimed that Nasty C stole his song, Bamm Bamm, and released it as his own.

Nasty C responded by denying the allegations, stating that he had originally produced the beat, wrote the verse and hook of the single, and sent it DJ Speedsta to add his verse. However, DJ Speedsta did not use the song and Nasty C wanted it back, later releasing it as a single.

When DJ Speedsta responded to Nasty C’s claims, the deejay contradicted what he had initially said during the podcast series and corroborated Nasty C’s claims. However, DJ Speedsta provided other information to contextualise the entire situation.
