Naledi Chirwa and EFF officials’ relationships with Bushiri questioned amid allegations
Naledi Chirwa and other members of the EFF’s relationships with Shepherd Bushiri have been brought to the fore amid the sexual assault allegation against the religious leader.
Naledi Chirwa is one of the political figures facing backlash on social media, following the sexual assault allegations levelled against Shepherd Bushiri on Thursday, 27 August 2020. A video of Chirwa at Bushiri’s church was circulated in light of the allegations, with some questioning her silence on the matter. Further, as a known feminist, some expected Chirwa to weigh in on the allegations.
Another image that has been circulated on social media, following the allegations made against Bushiri, is one of the religious leader with EFF President, Julius Malema and his Deputy President, Floyd Shivambu. As in the video of Chirwa, some have shared the image with captions highlighting the political party’s silence on the allegations levelled against the religious figure.
