Nadia Nakai stunned audiences with her performance at the Macufe Hip Hop 2018: Tshepe vs Newwave concert on Friday, 5 October 2018.
Rapper Nadia Nakai is no stranger to performing to large crowds at concert events.
However, the atmosphere at the 2018 Tshepe versus Newwave concert held in Bloemfontein on Friday, 5 October, took her by surprise.
Nakai was included on the Newwave concert bill alongside Sjava, A-Reece, Nasty C and Emtee. She proved her worth amongst the male hip-hop artists, as she always does, by delivering a stellar performance of her best work.
Following her performance, Nakai took to social media to reflect on the experience. She posted a short video clip to Twitter, in which she gushed about the production quality of the venue, the great reception from the crowd and the overall atmosphere of the event.
In the video, she said, “I don’t think I actually understood the level of this gig I was performing at…the lights, the stage, the screens, the crowds…No wonder my voice is like this… it was Bananas!”. She later shared a series of photographs from the concert, writing, “Bloem!!!!! I love you so much!!!! THANK YOU.”
Nakai will head to Bloemfontein again on Saturday, 13 October, to perform at the Pimped Out Spring 2018 festival at Windmill Casino.
Nakai’s mentor and record label manager, rapper Cassper Nyovest will headline the festival.
