MTN gives students free access to selected educational websites during national lockdown
Network provider, MTN South Africa, is offering students free access to selected educational websites during the lockdown, to ensure that they are able to continue studying.
MTN informed students on Monday, 30 March 2020, that it would be granting them free access to selected educational websites. The websites can be used by high school and tertiary students. The listed websites are affiliated to various universities and educational institutions, ensuring that the information is in-keeping with the current curriculum.
MTN’s educational effort has received praise from customers, who have publicly acknowledged the network provider’s attempt to promote education and encourage the youth to continue studying throughout the lockdown period. MTN has continued to ensure customers that the network will work at its optimum throughout the lockdown as the need for internet access remains imperative to customers who are now forced to work remotely due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The network has also provided customers with various services for the duration of the 21-lockdown, including a Work From Home Playlist to provide entertainment whilst working. MTN has also shared daily fitness videos to encourage customers to remain active throughout the lockdown.
