Mpofu comments on Magashule’s stance on apology to ANC NEC

Published on

Dali Mpofu has weighed in on the stance of suspended ANC SG, Ace Magashule, who has yet to extend an apology to the party for attempting to suspend President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Advocate Dail Mpofu took to Twitter on Tuesday, 11 May 2021, to comment on the stance of suspended Secretary-General (SG) of the African National Congress (ANC), Ace Magashule. In light of the lapsed 48 hours that Magashule was given by the party to apologise for speaking against the National Executive Committee (NEC) and attempting to suspend its president, Cyril Ramaphosa, it is believed that Magashule will not apologise.

Moreover, there have been claims that Magashule has sought legal action in order to have his suspension lifted and Ramaphosa’s enforced. It is alleged that Mpofu is set to represent him, which explains why he felt the need to weigh in on the matter.

Not only that, but Mpofu has also provided indicators of the angle and approach he plans to use during the court proceedings. In his comment, he questioned whether Ramaphosa had ever offered an apology to those affected by the Marikana Massacre.
