Montana suggests Ramaphosa’s Zondo Commission appearance was calculated

Lucky Montana has suggested that President Cyril Ramaphosa’s appearance in front of the State Capture Commission was a calculated media blitz, in a move to change the unfavourable views on the ANC.

Lucky Montana took to Twitter on Thursday, 29 April 2021, to share his overall views on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s appearance at the State Capture Commission. On the day, Ramaphosa concluded his two-day testimony in his capacity as the President of the African National Congress (ANC).

Following Ramaphosa’s first day on the stand, Montana indicated that he had the endorsement of forces that would guarantee that he remains in power for the stipulated duration of his presidency. Therefore, in the recent post, he suggested that part of those forces are members of the media. Moreover, he highlighted how Ramaphosa’s testimony was covered by major news outlets.

Montana further suggested that the appearance was a media blitz to drum up support for the ANC and paint Ramaphosa as an accountable and forthright leader. This is despite the supposed inaccuracies in his testimony.
