Montana expresses why he believes Ramaphosa will remain in power

Lucky Montana took to Twitter to detail why he believes that President Cyril Ramaphosa will remain in power, suggesting that his opposition may not be strategic enough to remove him.

Lucky Montana took to Twitter on Wednesday, 28 April 2021, to reflect on the first day of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s appearance at the State Capture Commission. The former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) first claimed to be more concerned with the manner in which Ramaphosa positioned the African National Congress (ANC).

Montana stated, “Listening to the President today got me worried. The ANC had shifted and had since the late 1990s been more of a ‘centre-left’ party. Today, I was listening to the President of a centrist, if not ‘centre-right’, party speaking. I never thought such a day will arrive, but it is here.”

When it was suggested by a user that he should be voted out, Montana detailed why the probability thereof remains slim. Montana claimed that due to the suggested shift in positioning, Ramaphosa has more alliances that want him in power. Moreover, he claimed that his opposition may not be strategic enough or have enough social or financial backing to defeat him.
