The DA has welcomed the decision by the SCA for the Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane to produce her SSA job application to it.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) took to Twitter on Thursday, 11 March 2021, to circulate a statement welcoming the decision by the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) against Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane. This comes after Mkhwebane took the party to the court on a charge of defamation, following the DA calling her a spy for the Radical Economic Transformation (RET) faction of the ruling party.
However, the SCA ruled against Mkhwebane, ordering her to produce her State Security Agency (SSA) job application to the DA if she wishes to dispel the suggestions. Mkhwebane has yet to comment on the most recent of her court battle losses.
The leading opposition party stated, “The DA looks forward to reviewing Mkhwebane’s SSA job application. We also look forward to Tuesday, 16 March 2021, when Parliament is set to vote on whether to institute removal proceedings against Mkhwebane.”
See the post below.
In 2017, Adv Mkhwebane pursued legal action against the DA for calling her “a spy”.
