Metrofile reports improved revenue in annual results, despite economic challenges

Metrofile Holdings Limited released its annual financial results for the year ended 30 June 2021, reporting improvements in revenue and operating profit and a dividend of 8 cents.

On Monday, 13 September 2021, Metrofile Holdings Limited released its annual financial results for the year ended 30 June 2021. The group reported an increase in revenue of 3 percent to R933 million, despite the impact of the challenging economic conditions.

Operating profit was recorded at an increase of 11 percent to R241 million, attributed to improved revenue and cost reduction measures. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization is said to have risen by 7 percent to R323 million, due to improved operational performance.

Earnings per share were 31.9 cents, while headline earnings per share amounted to 31.8 cents, increasing by 28 percent. Net debt for Metrofile reportedly increased by 17 percent to R434 million, and free cash flow increased by 42 percent to R184 million, due to improved working capital and reduced capital expenditure. The group is said to have declared a final cash dividend of 8 cents per share.
