Mashaba questions progress Mbalula has made in addressing railroad devastation

Published on

Herman Mashaba took to Twitter to question the progress that Minister Mbalula has made in addressing the deplorable state of the country’s railroad system and train stations.

Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba took to Twitter on Tuesday, 6 April 2021, to question Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula on the progress he has made in addressing the state of the country’s railroads and train stations. Mashaba posted a video of a train station barren of all its metal, with only the mortar structures still standing. This is believed to be the case in some train stations in some parts of the country, following the vandalism during the stricter lockdown restrictions and regulations.

At the tail end of 2020 and at the beginning of this year, Mbalula had suggested that the matter was being addressed through various remedial actions, such as the deployment of more security personnel and the launch of The People’s Train. In his post, Mashaba suggested that it was all a fallacy. Moreover, the ActionSA leader went on to add that Mbalula is not the only one to blame, further alluding to the entire African National Congress (ANC) being to blame.
