ActionSA leader, Mashaba has announced the launch of the party’s Anti-Corruption Blueprint which is in honour of the late Gauteng health official and whistleblower, Babita Deokaran.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement on Monday, 13 September 2021, announcing the launch of the party’s Anti-Corruption Blueprint. The initiative is in honour of the late Gauteng health official and corruption whistleblower, Babita Deokaran.
Mashaba confirmed that ActionSA was the only political party present at the court appearance of the alleged murderers of Deokaran. He noted that her death represented the justice system’s failure to protect South Africans who are tired of corruption and have taken it upon themselves to play their part in fighting criminality, to the extent of risking their lives.
Mashaba further stated that the party has identified corruption as public enemy number one, detailing that ActionSA’s plan is to stop corruption dead in its tracks by creating protection and incentives for whistleblowers who provide credible information leading to prosecution. Moreover, establish early detention systems for suspected corrupt activities.
